I have a secret I am bursting to share. I, doomed to Spinsterhood until on my deathbed, aged 99 and about to marry the 100 year old in the same old-peoples home, am no longer doomed! YAY! It is a bit of a long distance thing as although he lives in England, it is still a few hours away on the train. Boooo! But...we have been talking to each other almost constantly for a few months now and last week, we finally met and...we got on just as well if not better face to face as we do on msn or over the phone. I can't say much about him as I haven't told him I am doing this blog and to preserve his privacy. I very much doubt he would mind me telling a few friends, but I wasn't sure about posting at orphanwizard, and we feel we can't say anything on the forum we both belong to (where we 'met'). I just needed to share with those of you from Diss who come here. As you lot are my first and best online friends. I will say that he is the most caring, thoughtful and loving man I have had the privilege to meet. I guess it won't hurt to tell you his first name, which is Dan. I have to admit, he is the reason I have been a little less active on at the orphanage and why it took me so long to notice Murgles had started blogging again (sowwy Murgs :(, forgive me?). So if I am a bit quiet, you'll know I am not ignoring you, but happily otherwise occupied (usually on MSN, which just isn't adequate). Don't be strangers though, I won't be. Rai xx

I have been bored. I don't know how to blog here, I can't blog to strangers. I'm just glad I have the few of you (you know who you are) to listen to my babbling. LOL.
Anyway here are a few completely pointless facts that may keep you amused long enough to stick around: You may even discover things you never knew about me. That last comment was strictly for those of you who do know me a teeny bit already, obviously.
My son's nail finally fell off and is re-growing. (don't know what the heck I'm going about? Scroll down.) :)
My son starts his last year of school in September. I feel old. :O
I feel freaked out over headless shop mannequins. Seriously they look like humans...so why leave the heads off?!?
I miss DR Who already. The fourth series finale was just incredible imo. I have read two Dr Who novels to help ease the pain of the last series ending. 'The Feast of the Drowned' and 'Only Human'. Both featuring Rose and one had David Tenant's Dr and the other Christopher Eccleston's version. Very good reads even if you don't see the tv series. Can't wait for the Christmas special!
The book I was reading 'Atlantis' got left whilst I was reading Dr Who. It was/is actually quite good if a bit technical with archaeological jargon. I can get back to it again, yay! (49p can't be argued with imo).
I have had three things go wrong this week. My game-pad, my mobile's charger and my pc mouse stopped. I replaced the mouse nice and easy. I have scouted my area and neighbouring town for a new charger but no luck. So I have to get a new phone. It arrives tomorrow. knowing how delivery services are around here, it'll probably get delivered whilst I'm at work! ;) The game pad can wait. I'm all out of funds anyway.
I love my pets but could do without the molting fur! it is everywhere! Even on me. actually as they both love to use me as a chair or head rest, a lot on me.
I helped someone with img tags today. I remember when it was me who needed the help! Lol, I just couldn't get my head round them.

I started working as a volunteer for my local YMCA charity shop a couple of weeks ago. Initially I was meant to be working 4 hours a day, two days a week, but they asked me to come in today and I've now agreed to do Wednesdays permanently. Today was meant to be steady with customers. But we had a visit from two managers and it was chaos for a while. But we managed. Sometimes, if there are too many of you, it can be a bit confusing.
But that has nothing to do with pigeons. This does. Later on, one curious pigeon decided to have a look around. The first time the manager on the shop floor managed to shoo him out the back door by herself. But he came back half an hour later. He decided to make for the sofa near the window. The manager asked me to help her. She tried to shoo him my way which was nearer the door but he was having none of that. instead he headed for D. I then shooed him toward the back door and D opened the door whilst I kept the changing room curtain closed to stop him from re-entering the shop! I dunno what made him so interested in our shop, lol.
So, after my son hurt his thumb by trapping it in the door hinge, guess who has been mum-slave? Well, as his mum, that'd be me. Yup, I now do more for him than I have since he was about 5! It isn't funny, when you're just settled and you get 'Muum, get me a drink!' or 'Muuum tie my trainer laces'. I sympathise with the poor kid, I really do, his thumb was dressed up like an Egyptian mummy and he couldn't move it. I understand, I really do. But you try having 'Muuuum' yelled at you every 5 minutes. Luckily the dressing has finally been reduced to just a plaster. YAY!
To be honest, I've been bored. The blog site I usually blog on has been down for like forever and it doesn't look like it'll be back anytime soon, so like a couple of my virtual friends here, I'm borrowing blogspot for a bloog fix. Buuut, I'mma having trouble navigating. I can't even get to comment on Murgatoodles blog without signing in and then I don't know how to find it! What??!??? EDIT: Found a way! :)
Will go on Murgatoodle watch now, see if I can find her! *nods* oh and evilspambot too. If y'all out there me friends - look me up. Me lonely. :(
